Our Logo is derived from a Painting by Marc Chagall entitled 'The Blue House'.

The logo was designed and produced by local pottery artisan Jerry Chappelle.

It is a fire-glazed clay tile design on a backer board.

Chagall's painting is a representation of the exclusion of Jews from normal everyday life in Europe as depicted by the spires and steeples of the buildings in the background.  His emblematic irrationality shook off all outside influences: color governed his compositions, calling up chimerical processions of memory where reality and the imaginary are woven into a single legend; He was a poet, and his artistic visions can be considered "poetry in colors and shapes."  Chagall brought back the forgotten dimension of metaphor into French formalism.

We prefer to view the piece as what can be discovered when we step away from the normal everyday, where the kitchen of Maison Bleu is the creative 'palette' of aromas and tastes for Chef Anne Miller-Andersen.

Come and discover Maison Bleu.
